"On the Verge of Osteoporosis"

Zoe

It’s not an exaggeration to say that CrossFit saved my life; certainly my quality of life. I was on the verge of osteoporosis at age 54, and the poster child for bone loss as a tiny, small-boned, fair-skinned woman with a terrible family history of the condition. Less than one year after joining CrossFit Acadia, I had regained almost all the bone mass I’d lost over the previous 12 years. Now, two years later, I’m on the verge of normal bone mass. I joined CFA as medicine, but what I found was so much more than a cure for my weak bones. I found community, support, new friends, caring coaches, ever-increasing strength and endurance, the joy that comes from achieving goals, and the realization that I can do so much more than I ever thought. What’s more, every day I get to watch others experience the same joy, support, and achievements. I love this place and these people.
